After you have completed filling in the Patient Information Form, you will be given a queue ticket. Our nurses will give you a brief orientation, while you are waiting for your number to be called.
Existing Clients
If you are an existing client, you may use the self-registration kiosk to register. After getting your queue numbers, please proceed to the waiting area.
If you are unable to do self-register for any reason, please go to the counter for assistance.
Note: A visit will be considered a new consultation if:
-
You have not had an appointment with NAMS within the past 24 months from the last appointment; or
-
You have been discharged.
(3) Consultation
Using a multidisciplinary approach, clients will be seen by a dedicated team of specialists, including psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, therapists and medical social workers. These professionals will work together to provide a comprehensive assessment. Based on their evaluation, treatment plans will be tailored to suit the needs of the client.
While consultations are mostly conducted on an individual basis, we encourage family members to participate. Addiction recovery is an arduous journey and the presence of your loved ones forms an integral part of the recovery process.
Our allied health team consists of professionals who are well trained in the field of addiction. They will listen and provide counselling to our clients, educating them on coping skills to abstain from the substance or behavior and to guide them back to a healthy lifestyle.
Aside from individual counselling, we also conduct group therapy sessions. Facilitated by our counsellors, individuals come together to form support groups to learn from peers who have recovered or who are recovering.
(4) Treatment
Clients might need to undergo various tests, including blood and urine tests. These tests will be performed by our group of experienced nurses.
(5) Pharmacy
Medication is often necessary in the recovery process. Our in-house pharmacist will prescribe the medication and attend to your queries relating to the prescription.
(6) Payment and Financial Aid
After collecting your medication, you can pay for the consultation and medication and schedule your next appointment. You can pay using cash, NETS, MasterCard, Visa or American Express.
If you need financial aid, our Medical Social Workers are on-site to help.
